These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of nemi ("the service"). By using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
- You must be 16 or older to use the service.
- When creating an account via SSO or email verification, please provide accurate information about yourself.
- We may suspend access if we detect account abuse.
2. What the service is
nemi provides cosmetic ingredient information and safety scores as reference content. Information is sourced from public safety databases and academic literature, evaluated independently.
nemi is not medical advice. Scores and explanations do not diagnose, treat, or prevent any skin condition or health issue and are not a substitute for professional advice from a doctor or pharmacist. If you have skin concerns, please consult a medical professional.
3. Paid plans
- Paid plans ("Pro") are auto-renewing subscriptions delivered via your Apple ID or Google account.
- You'll be charged the price shown at purchase, via the platform.
- You can cancel via your platform's subscription management screen (App Store / Google Play). If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the next renewal, you'll be auto-renewed.
- Refunds are subject to each platform's policy; we don't issue refunds directly except where required by law.
- If we offer a free trial, you'll be auto-converted to paid unless you cancel before the trial ends.
4. AI-generated content
Some ingredient explanations and research notes are generated using Anthropic's Claude. See our AI Policy for details. AI-generated content can occasionally be inaccurate; please consult multiple sources for important decisions.
5. Prohibited use
- Reverse-engineering, scraping, or automated bulk access
- Reselling information from the service to third parties commercially
- Infringing on the rights of other users or third parties
- Activity that violates law or public morals
- Interference with our operations
6. Intellectual property
Software, design, logos, scoring algorithm, and explanatory content of the service are owned by the nemi team or rightful licensors. You may use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes; reproduction, modification, or redistribution without permission is prohibited.
7. Disclaimers
- Product and ingredient information may diverge from reality due to reformulations or regulatory changes. Always check the package and official brand information for final decisions.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, the nemi team is not liable for any damages arising from use of the service.
- The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance.
8. Changes to these Terms
We'll notify you in-app and on this page before any material changes. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Japanese law. Any disputes arising from the service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
